Sinopec Baling Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is an affiliate of Sinopec Group. As a super-large petrochemical enterprise with petroleum refining as its core business, it manufactures synthetic rubber, synthetic plastics, synthetic fibers and other organic chemical products. The company holds original fixed assets of 6.5 billion yuan and employs more than 13,000 staff, including over 4,000 professional and technical personnel of various disciplines. It has 19 directly affiliated units such as Olefin Division, Cyclohexanone Division, Synthetic Rubber Division and Epoxy Resin Division, operating a total of 58 production plants. The enterprise obtained ISO9002 quality system certification in 1998.

Sinopec Baling Petrochemical Co., Ltd. has two major production zones located in Yunxi District and Yueyanglou District of Yueyang City respectively. The Yunxi Zone consists of the Refinery Division, Rubber Division, Resin Division, Water Affairs Division, Storage & Transportation Division and Cogeneration Division; while the Yueyanglou Zone houses the caprolactam industrial chain and its supporting facilities.
